Rory Staunton Field

 34th Avenue and 78th Street

Rory Staunton was a warm and bright student who cared deeply about others. His father, Ciarán, described him as a young boy passionate about skateboarding, flying, and human rights. He loved traveling to Ireland every year, where he and his cousins would spend their days trekking through mud and building tents.

Rory tragically passed at the age of 12 from a sepsis infection. His family started the organization, End Sepsis, in 2013, which has since passed key legislation around sepsis education and protocols. He will forever be remembered and deeply missed by many.
