Mary Moody Way

 34th Avenue and 99th Street

Mary Moody was a longtime resident of Corona, Queens. She owned Big City Realty, through which she provided free housing to low-income tenants. Moody was deeply involved in the welfare of local children all her life: providing childcare, working as a paraprofessional and helping run the Flushing Meadow Soap Box Derby in East Elmhurst.

Mary Moody’s daughter, Andreii Moody Lynch, talks about her mother along with Reverend Patrick Young, who Mary Moody adopted as a son.
